Although his actions may have been unwillingly and obligatory, his acceptance for what the Indians believed in saved his life and exposed him to new ideas that may have never been discovered in Cabeza de Vaca’s native land, Spain. Cabeza de Vaca’s acceptance to the tribe’s traditional ways is an example of how people can learn to accept other ideas or situations that may still relate to the situations we encounter in our everyday lives today. ... Whether the lesson in life is the same or different, both Cabeza de Vaca and I have learned to find acceptance for people in our own ways.
