               Nature Essay
     “The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child.” This is from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Nature,” where he is describing the relationship that many adults have with nature. ... These writers were called transcendentalists, who centered their writing a lot around nature and individualism. Transcendentalist writers such as William Cullen Bryant, Edgar Allen Poe and Ralph Waldo Emerson, all center their writings around Nature and its importance and affects it has on people but each write about this in their own unique way. ... He believes that you are never really alone and that when you die you will not be alone because you have nature with you. ... ” Throughout his entire piece, Bryant is sending the message that Nature plays a major role in our lives and that it is a part of us.
     On the other hand, Edgar Allen Poe thinks very differently about Nature, which is shown in his poem “Alone.
