¡§More women are deciding that marriage is not inevitable; they can lead a fulfilling life as a single woman. It is an empowering choice, but maybe not an easy one.¡¨ One or two decades ago, most women felt that marriage is their destiny and many even saw marriage as their career in many societies. ... However, nowadays, the image of marriage has a great change in American culture. More women think that they do not need to get marry, marriage is not significant in their life as before, and they want to be a single woman. Although they are going to have a choice, being a single woman is not that easy and has many difficulties. There are some reasons of woman not to get marry and what the difficulties they face when being a single woman.
One of the reason why woman deicide not to get marry is that more and more woman can go to school now. Last time, women did not suppose to go to school, therefore they were lack of knowledge; the only thing they could do was to get marry. ... Many now know that marriage is not their only choice and they can have their own life just like that of men. They do not think that they need to rely on someone, they can survive their own, and they do not need to be protected by men anymore.
