The way animals are treated throughout the worlds includes such unpleasant commonplace activities such as burning, scalding , electrocution, blinding, starving and forcefeeding. As well as blacks and women, it can be argued that animals are an oppressed group. Animal rights should be campaigned for.
Scientific research is only one of a number of areas where people regularly ill-treat animals. According to some researchers, when experiments are carried out on animals, the considerations to be weighed against each other are the benefit to scientifc understanding and medical research and the pain being inflicted on the animal. ... Animal liberationists campaign against the way in which animals are abused in scientific research, particularly in the commercial sector. ... For example, in the Dray’s irritancy test that was invented in 1944, concentrated solutions of cosmetics and other substances were dripped into the eyes of conscious animals. These overwhelming number of experiments fail to add anything at all to human knowledge.
Most of the medical advances in this century have involved experiments on animals.
