Explanation of the Future Reality Tree of Unico As shown in the Fishbone Diagram of Unico’s UDEs (Undesirable Effects), the Core Conflict causing the UDEs is the lost of earning due to loss of business because customers were dissatisfied. Using the identified UDEs the second model attempted to show the second process of the TOC (To What to Change? by laying out the Future Reality Tree for Unico in order for it to resolve all of its UDEs. Following is the explanation: The group had identified that Unico’s production concept that is based on Efficiency rather than Market Demand (shown in the oblong shape in the model) as the main culprit for the dissatisfaction of its customers, thereby losing earning for the plant.
