Just War?
Every time I hear the word “war”, I can’t help to think of nothing but suffering, deaths, and illness. This is regularly what a war produces; therefore there is never a winner. ... How can a war that only brings suffering ever be justified? “War is always fought for peace. ... This is primarily the reason why I am against the war with Iraq; because I don’t think I could ever bring peace, it didn’t do so during the Gulf War, why would it bring it now? The Bush Administration has launched a war against Iraq that is unnecessary, unwise, and illegal. ... Bush has tried to convince the rest of the worlds nations that another war is needed, but has not provided any evidence. ... How can we still go to war without the backing of the United Nations? The majority of Americans are against the war mostly for the reason that the United States turned its back to the United Nations and the other countries. The Vietnam War should have taught the U. ... government not to start a war without the backing of the American people. To initiate a war without the United Nations’ support and without the backing of the American public would be craziness at best and a disaster at worst. Moreover, a war against Iraq could stimulate more terrorism against this U.
