JOY LUCK CLUB E. ...
The Joy Luck Club is, originally, a book that Amy Tan wrote about four mother and daughters in America that became pretty popular and was then made into a movie. ... In any movie that is based on a book, there are slight changes in what happens then it was when written in the book and the Joy Luck Club is no different. ... In the case of Jing-Mei and her daughter June, there was no good luck party thrown for June before she had left to go see her sisters in China. It was needed so that some of the flashbacks could be added into the movie and seems to flow, so it wouldn’t be out of place. ... In the book, An-Mei’s mother cuts a piece of flesh in attempt of trying to save her mother but it was never shown in the movie.
