The main character (a girl) in the story is symbolized by her toy doll, which gives the reader an early indication of what future event will occur though out the literature. The girl describes the doll as: naked, scuffed, sexless, having her hair pulled out, smooth skinned and has eyes with a frightened look in them. ...
