Jazz Concert at Darden
The performance that I decided to go this time was held at Garrett Hall. ... It was more like Darden with elegant surroundings and seating where we actually had to be quite. I think that Millers gives us a feel for how jazz was normally heard by everyday people, but for some reason I enjoyed Garrett Hall that day. ... That was a pleasant surprise for myself because from the little experience I had with jazz concerts and the knowledge that I had gained from class, I had naturally assumed that the only female member might be a soloist in front, such as Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald.
