Today marks the second day of my traveling experience to the Pacific ranges and Coastal lowlands. It was a good day as I was able to go hiking in the state of Oregon with other tourist. It was rather cool out even though it was summer, so it was good that I didn’t wear shorts and a t-shirt. That’s how Oregon is, there summer is only a few degrees higher than there winters. Not only that but in winter they receive great amounts of precipitation. During my hiking trip, I met this lady she has been in Oregon longer than I have and therefore has seen and knows more about it than I do. Did you know that this state contains many volcanoes such as the famous Mt. Hood, the Three Sisters, and Mt. McLoughlin. This lady also told me about what is called the Columbia Plateau. Much of this area (Columbia Plateau) is covered by lava flows, even though most volcanoes in this state are dormant. My hike went good; it wasn’t too hard being that the mountains here are lower than those such as the coastal mountains of California or Washington. It was fascinating because all around me I saw forest and undergrowth full of Mother Nature. I would definitely say that if you’re ever in the state of Oregon, be sure to have your hiking boots with you Today I went to a museum recommended by a travel agency.
