The Great Depression is probably one of the hardest understanding events in American history. Effects of the Great Depression many times throughout history the United States has undergone economic depression. The most recognized period of economic depression is called the Great Depression. The Great Depression is popular because of the seriousness of the stock market crash. The Great Depression had important consequences and was a devastating event in America, however many good policies and programs became available as a result of the great depression, some of which exist today.
