Macbeth
The tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare has been interpreted and produced in many different mediums such as films, or stage. The opening scene in Macbeth portrays three witches prophesizing the fate of the main character Macbeth. ... The BBC’s adaptation of Macbeth’s opening scene was the most convincing because BBC alluded to the supernatural by keeping with the original play in which Shakespeare had original envisioned. ... Lightning comes from the sky; this alludes to the Gods having a role in the fate of Macbeth. Macbeth’s fate is now out of his hands and he is doomed to tragedy because the three fates and the gods have proclaimed his doom. ... The empty sky indicates that the God’s have no interest and that Macbeth’s does not have a foretold fate. ... It is hinting that it is in fact the witches who are giving Macbeth his doomed fate, instead of merely foretelling a “known” fact. There is little foreshadowing in Boganov’s version of Macbeth merely showing. The scene takes place during a battle, so little guesswork is done there; also, the flash to Macbeth does not aid the scene merely distracts the audience. ...
