Thus, the question arises if the corporation succeeded with its plan to become such a “world corporation” looking at the mergers effects on the stock market and the profits or losses Daimler Chrysler made since the merger up till now.

In Mai 1998 Daimler-Benz announced to merge with Chrysler, which was agreed by the shareholders of both corporations on the separate shareholders’ meetings in September.
This was one of the biggest mergers in the history and Daimler-Chrysler became the 5th largest corporation in the world measured by the number of produced cars, and even the 3rd largest corporation if one measures the value of the cars produced.
