The Catalytic Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide. Looking at my graph it doesn’t show the ideal pattern. This could be due to a number of errors that I will discuss later. Experiment 1 shows an increase of oxygen produced with time, its rate of reaction is similar to experiment 4 which levels out at a smaller volume of oxygen. Experiment 2 also has a similar rate of reaction to the above but produces the smallest amount of oxygen. Experiment 3 has the fastest rate of reaction and produces more oxygen than 2 and 4 but less than 1. My results were very inaccurate producing an inaccurate graph; ideally my graph should look like this; 1 and 3 should show a similar pattern to 2 and 4, each pair should have similar rates of reaction because they have the same concentration, this is because its concentration that determines rate of reaction not volume.
