The story of Pocahontas is one of peace, friendship, and most importantly, love. ... Based upon historical pictures and descriptions, the historical Pocahontas does not meet modern standards of being attractive. In the movie, Pocahontas was illustrated as a beautiful woman in her twenties, however, she was actually twelve years old at the time she saved John Smith’s life.
