1. Itemize each of the main steps in constructing a case for the general historical trustworthiness of the Gospels. There are two main steps in constructing a case for the general historical trustworthiness of the Gospels. The first of which is looking at archeology. With archeology they look at physical proof of the existence of places and occurrences as spoken of in the Gospels. Many of the places mentioned in the Scriptures have been unearthed, but there are also supposed sites that cannot be proved accurate or may contradict our beliefs in certain ways. Another step is looking at other ancient texts and searching for references to prove the validity of the Gospels. This step can be divided into three parts, one of which is based on non-Christian writers. Here one can look at Greco-Roman sources as well as Jewish sources in attempt to find proof of what the Gospels say to be true. The second part is based on Post-New Testament Christian writers. Here one can look at unorthodox sources, other apocrypha and later legends in search of information which corresponds with the Gospels.
