In the following paragraphs I will discus “The Future of Success” by Robert Reich. This book talks in depth about success, this includes, the types of workers in today’s work environment, the ways consumers buy products and how the ways they buy products affect them. Also covered is family life, how we split the time between our families and our jobs and how this affects our success. Technology and its place in our family lives and that of our work environment is also a significant topic. First I would like to start with the idea of technology. Technology is playing an ever changing part in not only our family life but also in our work. While I am only twenty years old, I remember the first computer I ever played with that did little more that run a few silly games and help me put phrases on paper without having to write them out by hand. Today I can see the exact status of my account balance on my check book, see what the weather is going to be later this afternoon, as well as being able to see where the package is I mailed last Tuesday. I can access information on molecular science or I can play chess with a man my age in Russia if I wish. The possibilities the internet and computer have brought to every day life as well as to the workplace are simply outstanding.
