Jean manufacturers are always trying to distinguish themselves from other manufactur ers. Jean manufacturers are always introducing new designs to help them compete with other businesses. These designs usually include the latest fashions and attract many consumers who are looking to stay up beat. Example: Gap introduced cord jeans and Levi’s introduced low-rise jeans, which are the latest fashions. The price also affects how successful and competitive the jean manufacturer is. Usually jean manufacturers try to have the better price and quality for their jeans than other manufacturers. Example: Parasuco always tries to price their jeans 20 dollars less than Phat Farm. Some of the top jean manufacturers such as Gap and Levi’s also hire famous celebrities to advertise their jeans. These ad campaigns distinguish themselves from other manufacturers and attract many consumers. Example: Gap hired Madonna and Missy Eliot to help in marketing their new product. Major jean manufacturers are very successful in this business. They are very successful because many people wear jeans. Jeans are a continuing trend in the clothes business. Jean designs change as the likes and dislikes of the consumers change. Jean manufacturers usually keep up with the latest fashions and they use many different advertising campaigns to market their jeans. This is what makes them very successful. Examples of successful jean manufacturers would be Gap and Levi’s. TASK TWO: REMEMBRANCE DAY 2.1 a) What is Remembrance Day? Remembrance Day is a day which is associated with Canadians on November 11th . The purpose of this day is to take time out to revisit the issues with a day dedicated to remembering the horrors of armed conflict. On this day we stop to think about the sacrifices that were made during World War On, World War Two, and the Korean War. We remember the hundreds of thousands of Canadians soldiers who lost their lives to keep our country free and at peace. On Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the courage and heroism of those who served their country. b) Why do we remember? We must remember the one hundred thousand Canadians who sacrificed their lives in World War One, World War Two, and the Korean War. If we do not remember the sacrifice of those Canadians would be meaningless. They died for us, for their homes and families and friends, and for the future of our country so that Canada would forever be free and at peace. In remembering their service and their sacrifice, we recognize the tradition of freedom they fought to preserve. These men and women had faith in the future and by their acts gave is the will to preserve peace for all time.
