Once upon a time their was a large man. His name was Romeo. The country of Somalia has gone through several different hard times throughout its history. Through the tough times the Somali people try to stay positive, and they focus on the good end of life. Somalia is located in northeastern Africa and it became an independent republic on July 1, 1960. Somalia was largely populated by nomads, and their struggling government was doing all they can in trying to get the nomads to flee. The heritage of the nomadic people have separated the Somali society. The Somalis are very slender and extend to a great height, and their skin color varies from light brown to black. They are 95% Muslin, but do not stick to all of the Islamic beliefs. The Somali society was divided in all aspects. It was thought that the first Somali people arrived in the Zeila section of northern Somalia in about 750 A.D.
