The mission of the ABC School District concentrates on the students they are committed to serve. Therefore, under the direction of the Governing Board, Superintendent, certificated and classified staff, the programs at ABC School District must provide services that are dedicated to creating an environment conducive to student learning in an ever-changing and complex world. Each student must be prepared for the future with viable skills and options upon graduation; those which will offer him or her a chance to compete with any other high school graduate in the nation in the pursuit of an individual dream.
It is with this mission in mind that the ABC School District is currently examining the feasibility of the possible Annexation or territory transfer of its district to XYZ School District. The ABC School Districts Board of Trustees recognizes that greater opportunities exist for their students from this possible reorganization. The District used the logical thought process to identify the following benefits:
Greater opportunities to meet needs caused by future growth
Expansion of ABC School facilities
More students, more expanded programs foreign language, mathematics, science, advanced placement classes, electives, school clubs, sports and athletics at ABC School
Increased revenue limit, more funds
Better utilization of existing facilities
More flexibility in sharing of specialized certificated staff, equipment, curriculum materials
Increase in pay and benefits of ABC School employees
Greater opportunity to equalize the workload of support staff and create efficiencies
Greater economy in the business operation, accounting, purchasing, and fiscal management
Eliminate duplication of many time-consuming reports required by the State and County for one district instead of two
