For the past seven years, the country’s major export is electronics and components then next are articles of apparel and clothing accessories, coconut oil, woodcraft and furniture, ignition wiring sets, metal components, gold and bananas. Although the Philippines still cashes in on agricultural produce for exports, the country is keener on satisfying export demands for electronics, chips and components. Ironically, even if the Philippines top export is on electronics and components it is also its top import, mineral fuels, telecommunication equipment, materials and accessories for the manufacture of electronic equipment, and etc.
