The demand for a college education remains high and the bar is being set higher every 10-15 years. The value of the education is in the eye of the beholder and I set my goals and rate my success. Education is important to me for a number of reasons. I believe education is fundamental in forming a persons beliefs, esteem, dreams, and aspirations. Education can be thought of as a foundation upon which we determine our future and goals. I do not put a cap for the value of an education because you can never learn too much or close any doors education makes available. Education has given me the opportunity to acquire skills and interests I may have never discovered before, thus enabling myself to develop a strong desire to learn. ... My current position as a Channel Manager will also benefit from my education - not only the secondary benefits of the learning experience but also the direct knowledge I gain from my courses and my classroom experience. ... Hopefully, college will prepare me for transitions into new fields.
Getting your education can be expensive, but why put a price on something you will have for the rest of your life? Paying for an education can be expensive but there are plenty of options to help overcome monetary needs: tax relief, scholarships, grants, loans, etc. These benefits, which were passed as part of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, include the Hope Scholarship Tax Credit, the Lifetime Learning Tax Credit, penalty-free withdrawals from IRAs for undergraduate and graduate education, and the new "Education IRAs" can be funded with annual nondeductible contributions of up to $500 per child.
