In “Why We Crave Horror Movies,” Stephen King explains the need for horror movies to keep people sane or at least feed their desires for evil. King states that all of mankind is mentally ill, and this illness is controlled through horror movies in a variety of ways. King believes horror movies help the audience meet three basic needs of controlling their sanity. ...
