The union strike against the supermarket giants has dominated headlines for weeks. Everyday, anchormen and women report on negotiations between the United Food and Commercials workers union and the grocery store consortium. ... Even though the notion of losing those homely, local markets is disheartening, the real motive for the union strike is all about money because only a minority of the population will give up money in exchange for inconvenience, and the selfish nature of humankind. ... As for the grocery union workers, they are being paid too much while underselling the products of their stores. ...
