Last week I had the chance to visit the Cornell Museum of Art and History at Delray Beach. Located at 51 N. Swinton AvenueDelray Beach, FL 33444. The Cornell Museum of Art and History provides the setting for Art shows for students and tourists. The Cornell Museum of Art dedicated in 1990 is housed in the restored 1913 Delray Elementary building and named in honor of Delray Beach residents Harriet W. and George D. Cornell. The museum includes four galleries and it’s an inspiring and peaceful place. Between all the paintings the one that really inspire me was the drawing of Elizabeth Winthrop Chanler, made with oil paint about 49 3/8 x 40 ½ in by John Singer Sargent in 1893. Some pictures are fun just to look at, even before you know anything about them.
