The tales of Middle Earth, written by J. R. R. Tolkien, remains to this day, a beautiful part of world literature for readers around the world. ... Although thousands of people loved the action-packed scenes, filled with adventure and blood, true Tolkien lovers recognized that many important aspects of the book were altered in the movies. Although Tolkien wrote his books in the early to middle 1900’s, the movies did not begin production until 2000. Despite the lapse of nearly a century, the movies followed Tolkien’s plot closely. Tolkien’s books begin with Bilbo Baggins’s Shire-wide birthday/farewell party. The movie portrayed this segment of the book almost exactly.
