This book begins by saying “Christians have mixed feelings about purely intellectual pursuit” (Williams, p. ... At first I thought this was cute, but let’s be realistic; in a world that is losing more and more moral values everyday, these people who have been protected from this “secular life” are going to have a very hard time out there. ... He probably has a lot more knowledge on Christianity and life that I could have acquired by now. But the truth is that to me, it all depends on what stage of life you are living. ... Williams is in an older stage of life. ... “Life is more that results, and learning is more than studying how’s”(Williams, p. ... But I say, if Eve had stopped for a moment and thought of what the Lord had said in Genesis 2:17 "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die" (NIV), she would have changed her mind and not ate from this tree. ...
Ultimately we follow a Christian life in order to be good just because. ... Even though I am a Christian I want to learn so I can give my children and myself a good life. ... Williams entirely that makes me less of a Christian I just think that in this point in life I have a different worldview than him.
