Ralph is the boy that’s was elected to be the leader of the other children on the island. He has the toughest job of all because wile he was concerned about the well being of everybody, the other boys concern was to play and have fun. In the beginning of the story Ralph is unable to understand why the other boys are all addicted to bloodshed until he has experienced the thrill of it him self. Jack is the violent type from the beginning of the novel as we see he chooses to go hunting with his men he is not able to kill the big at first bet when he finally gets over his fear he takes the pigs life away in the most barbaric way.
