Having good leadership abilities is very important in JROTC and in life. You must have the ability to guide a group of people to accomplishing missions put before you. The way you present yourself to your subordinates is very important; you have to set the example. In JROTC, being a good leader is extremely vital. You have to be able to oversee your subordinates and guide them to accomplishing a mission. However, of course, there’s more to it than just that. Sometimes, there will be new cadets that don’t catch on to the basics as quickly as the rest, so you would have to be patient with them and pay them special attention to them. You would have to take more progressive steps towards getting them to the same level as everyone else. Also, in every platoon, there is bound to be at least one person that is a troublemaker and doesn’t want to follow the rules.
