John Hale vs. John Proctor The characters of John Hale and John Proctor in “The Crucible” can be compared and contrasted according to their key traits, goals, and tendencies to change. These characters are probably the two most important characters in the play In Sherman Alexie’s essay “Dear John Wayne” the author shows small story between an interview about John Wayne and Etta Joseph in 1952. The one was a famous Western movie actor, and the other was an eighteen-year-old Indian girl who acted as an extra in his movie. By the short narrative, the author, a Native American, implies the evasion of the white people to America, and criticize it with funny parodies.
