Canada’s Criminal Justice System
I think all in all our criminal justice system is working very well, although that said, there are also some changes that I feel could be made to improve upon the system more so. ... Through the use of alternatives, the system would be able to greatly cut the costs that would be incurred through a jail sentence. ...
Aside from the need to issue differential sentences to offenders who commit non-violent crimes, I feel that our system is continually working in effort to provide fair opportunity to all who are involved, including the victim, because not only should the accused be given the opportunity to receive equal punishment for their crime, but the victim and those who are influenced by the result of the crime(s).
