"Stop trying to perfect your child, but keep trying to perfect your relationship with him." Have you ever been pressured into doing something you didn't want to do? Have you ever been pressured to over achieve or be perfect? This may sound like signs of peer pressure, but it's not. In some cases it is much worse than peer pressure. It's parental pressure! "Perfection consists not in doing extraordinary things, but in doing ordinary things extraordinarily well." My entire academic life has been filled with pressure from my parents. This pressure was mainly in school and grades, and in high school, the amount of pressure increased dramatically. When I first came to high school my grades were not as good as they were in middle school. I needed time to adapt, but my parents didn't understand that.
