Parents would rather have their children get something postitive out of a book that they have read, other then getting negative views as you read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Huck Finn does not set any good examples for children, when the book has many bad views on Blacks. ... How can you ask kids to go home and read the word nigger in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and then expect the kids to come back to school and not use the word?
