Background Information Canadian Pacific and International Bank is a leading financial institution that has grown through acquisitions of smaller banks and other financial institution. One of the companies acquired is the Hudson Bay Investors (HBI) that operates in five Canadian provinces and it has 38 branches. Issue and Implication Analysis There are several issues that Hudson Bay Investors has to deal with in regards to human resources management. Restructuring The company is considering a product structure, common in other industries but not really in financial industry, under which a product managers will be responsible for success or failure of product or services that are going to be assigned to him/her. The restructuring is going to affect every employee of HBI but the management is going to be affected the most. The reason that management is going to be affected the most is a possibility, that once restructuring takes place, some of the managerial positions will not be needed. The reason for this is that some managers do not have adequate skills for the new positions created by restructuring process.
