Beauty is something that a lot of people want in life, because everyone has pictures in their mind what beauty is. People know or think that it can help you out in life, but, they do not know what beauty is. Beauty should not be characterized by what people are told it is, or what people may think of you. In the book The Bluest Eye by Tori Morrison, two characters are confronted with the ideal of beauty and strive for it whether they know it or not. The two characters are Pecola and Pauline. In the story, the two girls think that having blond hair, blue eyes, and perfect figure is the only way you could be beautiful.
