God has shown his qualities through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and Moses. God started revealing his qualities through Abram before Abram knew anything about God. The Lord came down upon Abram and said, "Leave your country, your people and your fathers household and go to the land I will show you. ... God intervened through Abraham possibly because the community where Abraham lived was thinking of God in all the wrong ways. God changed Abram’s and Sarai’s names to signify a change, they became Abraham and Sarah.
Several years later Abraham became nervous thinking how God promised him many descendants, but his wife was barren and they were both very old. Sarah wanted to help so she gave her slave Hagar to Abraham, and Hagar bore him a son, Ishmael. God said to Abraham, “Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. ... 17: 19-21) The quality of power is shown by this because for a woman who is 90 years old and barren to become pregnant is a great sign of God’s power. When God wanted Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham most likely did it without question.
