They think the companies are threatening the children’s health by pressing them to eat unhealthy food, full of fat, salt and sugar. The Co-op has made many surveys, one of them says that three out of four parents want a ban on campaigns which they feel blackmail them into buying. Almost every company make their products appear to be a child’s friend, using animation, celebrities or heroes, and encouraging them to collect things and compete. They also appeal to the child’s need for stimulation by creating fantasy worlds, using role models such as the spice girls to plug products is another tricks.
