Read on and learn about organ donation, a helpful measure that can save the lives of many people. Organ donation? Though not commonly thought of in our day to day lives, what is organ donation? Organ donation is when someone gives up an organ (a collective of tissues that work together to complete a function) and gives it to someone else. Organ donation is a beneficial process that can save lives. Organ donation often occurs when a victim of an accident, homicide, etc. has died and the organs are in good condition. If that person had filled out an organ donation card then their organs may be given to anyone that needs them.
