A sign with a single verb that I would have above my desk would certainly be ‘mistake’. Mistakes are easy to make yet hard to learn from, but if we succeed in learning from our mistakes we surely can be one of the successful people in the world. I believe that a life spent making mistakes is more admirable than a life spent doing nothing. Being a human, one is bound to make mistakes and I personally have learned a lot from my past and present mistakes. The verb ‘mistake’ appeals to me because it reflects my personality, my personal experience has taught me the real meaning of mistake and it has increased my ability to judge people better. Firstly, I believe that ‘mistake’ reflects my individuality. When people read this sign above my desk, they certainly will wonder why I would use such a word as a sign. It will seem mysterious to them, like there is a hidden meaning to the word, and I feel the same way about myself. I feel that I do have a mysterious side, a side people do not have access to. They can feel that mysterious side however they cannot be a part of it. Another way in which the word ‘mistake’ reflects my personality is that it illustrates I am not afraid of making mistakes, I can deal with my mistakes and learn from them, rather than cry over it and feel sorry for myself.
