what caused the great depession The great depession was one of the carzyest time in the u.s.a. the great depession took off in the late 1920's and lasted for about a decade. the main caused for what the people call the 'the great slump". the combination of the greatly unequal distributed of wealth througthout the 1920's and the extension stock market speculation that took place during the later part that same decade. money was disttributed dispararately between rich and the middle-calss between industry and ariculture with the u.s. and europe. it was all unstable economy at that time. The excessive speculation kept the stock market crashes,combined with the maldistribution of wealth, cause the american economy to capsize. the roaing twenties was an era when the country was wild and makeing money. the nation's total realized income rose from 74.3 billion in 1923 to 89 billion iin 1929.
