Since the early 60’s, musicians have been forced to change the way they write in order to have a record put out to the American Consumer. ... Other bands, such as the Doors, Judas Priest, and DIO, have been banned from television, and taken to court over the supposed evil messages that their music sent to America’s youth. Even through today’s music, newer artists such as Eminem, or the Insane Clown Posse have come under harsh scrutiny from music critics, parental organizations, and even big business’s such as Wal-Mart, are trying to silence the message that these artist’s send out to America. ... Shielding people from the words of these artists will prevent them from listening to “vulgar” music, but at what cost?
