Terms of Reference Compilation of a brief report on the standard and levels of Information Technology (IT) provision within Lectra Port by the senior management team on 25 October 2003. The information is required to determine whether or not it is necessary to purchase new equipment and software to successfully carry on the day to day business of the company. The report is required by 29 October 2003. Procedure An audit of all working systems and software to be carried out by the IT support team during 24 and 25 October 2003. Evaluation of current provision to be carried out by the IT support team by 15:00 on 25 October. Recommendations for improvements and upgrades to be made accordingly by the IT support team. Estimates of cost to be made by the IT support team. Findings A full audit of the current provision of IT equipment and software within Lectra Port was carried out during 24 and 25 October 2003 by the IT support team. The audit covered the following areas: • Type of hardware (computers/printers) • Age of hardware (computers/printers) • Reliability of hardware (computers/printers) • Maintenance requirements of hardware (computers/printers) • Resale value of hardware (computers/printers) • Software in use It was found that the company possesses: • 108 PC computers of various types and 1 Apple Macintosh • 28 Printers of various types • Widely varying types of software Of the 108 PCs, only 97 are currently in working order.
