It was finally December and I was going to turn 14, but little did I know this would be one birth day that I would never forget for the rest of my life. Thinking that everything was going to go just as planned I started my day and got out of bed. That’s when things began to become more difficult, and gave me a weird feeling. My parents were already up and were dressed as if they were about to go some where. “Happy Birthday!” my mom exclaimed. Since I wasn’t ready for such a surprise I fell and fractured my ankle. My dad scooped me up and we left to the hospital, as we were on our way to Northwest Memorial the truck in front of us dropped a piece of lumber.
