Essay

This book is about a boy named Nick Abbott who never gives up on his love for the game of basketball. Nick is your average nice teenage kid. All that Nick wants is to get a compliment or two about his game playing from his dad. However Scott, Nick’s brother gets all the attention when it comes to basketball. The strange thing is he doesn’t even like the game; he’s more interested in playing the trumpet. This causes fights between nick’s dad and his mom over Scott, which finally ends up in a divorce. During the story Nick faces many situations, some good and some bad. Nick’s neighbor across the street, a troubled classmate, Trent Dawson, gives him some problems throughout the story, but Nick learns to deal with them.
