Film Poster
Intolerable Cruelty
The genre of this poster is best described as a romantic film. I know this is on the poster it states that it is a “romantic comedy with a bite” but from just looking at the picture you can tell that it is romantic from the way the man and woman are looking at each other, and also the trees on the back ground.
The title of the film is Intolerable Cruelty. The title suggests that cruelty in the film cannot be tolerated. ... As it is supposed to be a romantic comedy film, it makes you wonder how they possibly involve cruelty into this. The font of the lettering suggests that the film is sophisticated. The colour of the lettering also signifies this as it is navy, so it gives it that sophisticated, professional look, which makes you think that whatever happens in the film, that it will be based around professional things.
The main colours of the poster are white, with just green trees in the background of the two actors, and then the rest of the colour is made of the writing, which is navy, black, gold and brown.
