Television and Violence
A current societal issue concerning many people today is the issue of the role violence has on the development of children. In order to further document a possible relationship between children’s behaviors and television, I watched three different genres of shows currently shown on television today and recorded the amount of violence in each show. My results reveal that sitcoms seem to have the lowest amount of violence with only one occurrence of an act of violence.
