Capital Punishment : Social Conflict
In our society, the number of conflicts is endless and growing. Some major social conflicts are the issues of politics, abortion, censorship, and euthanasia. ... This issue is capital punishment. ... Not to mention that some abolitionists, especially the Christian community, do not accept the death penalty at all, even as a punishment to the guilty. ... ”
On the flip side, many people feel strongly that the death penalty is justified on the retributive grounds that a barbaric crime deserves an equally severe punishment. ...
