This year an initiative was undertaken by the School Captains to combat the ever-existing problem of smoking and raise awareness of the harmful effects and the damage that you are prone to when you partake in such an activity.
As part of this initiative we successful produced a “Quite Smoking Booklet”. This booklet is used to help raise student’s awareness about smoking and ways in which they can help combat the bad habit and help provide the first crucial steps to encourage smoker’s to quit. ... The booklet is not just another boring information booklet but an interactive one including important facts such as the dangers that smoking has on your body, the harmful chemicals your are consuming from just one cigarette it also has activities for students to complete and handing tips on how you can benefit from quitting smoking. ...
The challenge would be to stay away from smoking and try to stay out of other people’s smoke. Some alternatives to smoking would be playing sports, reading, watching television, babysitting, anything to keep you busy. Some consequences of smoking would be that you always smell bad, your teeth turn yellow, and you could get many different diseases and most likely die.
