October sky Essay By Nikola Kirov In the film “October sky” the writer is demonstrating that you must never give up what you believe to discover yourself. If you want to be successful you must never give up. Never give up what you want to do. Homer didn’t give up on his rocket idea. Homer and his friends never got discouraged when the rockets kept blowing up and they kept trying all the time so they can succeed. By not giving up Homer proved that you can do something if you try hard enough. In order to succeed in something you have to make sacrifices like Homer. When he was having a hard time with his rocket Homer needed help so he went to the “smart” table where he got help from Queen.
