As time progressed and American involvement in Vietnam grew the young adults of American began to protest and go against the government and high authority to get their ideas and point across because they wanted to change the country for the better. ... Escalating American involvement in the Vietnam war changed the students plans from school problems to an anti war agenda. ... Not only was this a time when the American people were being heard more than ever, but it was also a time when the people were showing the government that change was needed and that they were willing to do almost anything to get their points across, to end oppression of racial groups and to one day to strive for social equality of all peoples.
